‍Submission of Abstracts

Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts previously published or presented at an international scientific meeting cannot be submitted.

Abstract Submission Portal

All abstracts should be submitted via the online platform. Abstracts sent by e-mail or other means will not be considered.

‍

The submitting author of the abstract must be the presenting author, but does not have to be the first author. Please verify if you filled in the submitting author's name and e-mail address correctly – these contacts will serve for further correspondence with the author(s). All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to submitting author’s e-mail address.

The abstract submission portal will take you through the process of submitting your abstract. The abstract submission form is very straightforward, but some explanatory notes are also given below the fields to be filled in.

‍Abstract requirements

• ‍Language: All abstracts are to be submitted in English.
  ‍
• (List of) author(s): Written as initial(s), followed by surname in capital letters, and authors should be separated by commas (e.g. P.J. POMPIES, A.K. SMITH...). Authors will be listed in this order in the symposium's presentation program with the presenting author’s surname underlined.

• ‍Affiliation(s): Include authors’ institution, city and country.

• ‍Title: Should contain no more than 15 words, written in sentence case, followed by the presenting author’s e-mail (in a separate line). Please indicate the appropriate Session theme for your presenting work.

• ‍Body: The abstract have a limit of 400 words and should be organzied as follows:

- The main topic(s) of the presentation should be identified;

- As much as possible the abstracts should include: Introduction, Matherial and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion.

‍Take into consideration that references and figures should not be included in the abstracts. Avoid using abbreviations and acronyms unless absolutely necessary.

Submission Notification

Authors will be notified about the submission of their abstract by e-mail immediately. In case you will not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. In case of no confirmation e-mail, please contact the secretariat:

Authors will not be able to edit the abstracts after submitting them. If any changes are necessary, please email the secretariat ( ).

Review Process

The following criteria will be used to evaluate submissions:

Adherence to all submission requirements including submission of abstracts on or prior to the cut-off date.
Clear and concise writing of abstract which emphasizes the rationale, including the clinical and/or educational significance of results.
Inclusion of all relevant results. Failure to present results in abstracts will exclude it from the review process.

Abstract Deadline - 15 December 2024

Strictly those abstracts submitted on or prior to the cut-off date will be considered for review.

All abstracts will be reviewed for their quality and relevance by the Scientific Committee (SC), also taking in consideration the amount of submissions received in each session
